General Updates:

First off, a big congrats to all of the WSU and U of I grads! We wish you all the best for the future! Summer is here and so we have a few changes for this time period!

We recently discovered that there is/are bad actor(s) in the area that are attempting to impersonate us and other tech repair stores in the Quad cities area. We have taken the appropriate actions and measures. If you ever feel like your experience is less than our normal amazing service quality, we do invite you to text, email, or stop by and see us at 370A S. Grand Ave. in Pullman, WA.

Updated Plans!!

Because of our summer workload, we are open by appointment/direct contact only. In the business off seasons, we have many larger summer jobs to fulfill! If you call and leave a message on our main store line, or use the text message line, we will get back to you as soon as someone is in the shop next. Our services we offer still remain the same. We are also still in the process of revamping/liquidating store inventory and the sales floor! Be on the lookout for an update once that is complete!

As AI takes the stage, we have redirected efforts in utilizing this technology to build an appointment scheduling system, online store, and general website improvements! This is a very complex process to work out all the kinks and bugs before we put it live for general customer use.

Our eBay store is the primary avenue we are using to liquidate store inventory. Before listing on eBay, refurbished computers and the like will remain for the local population. Local pickup will still be an option on all eBay listings! (Link to eBay at bottom)

Appointment Scheduling:

We are first come first serve in general. We return inquiries in the order that they are received. Our higher Tier Rush and Critical check in services will still receive priority. Until physically checked in at our store, the priority does not take effect.

For all cell phone repairs for parts that we have in stock, we do add a $25 walk in convenience fee for non scheduled cell phone repairs. Cell repairs are processed ASAP ahead of other repairs. Please note that we have a limited stock of cell phone parts due to it being summer.

If your phone part is not in stock, we waive this fee. Pre-payment in full is required as listed on our Cell Phone Repair page. We do not order any parts without this process. Beware of scams or impersonations claiming they are associated with AugyTek LLC. We will never send you a digital message to check in or invoice to pay remotely unless you specifically request it from us.

If you call our store line, we may not always be able to answer the phone right away! Please leave your name, number, and type of repair that you are interested in. We will get back to you as soon as we can!

Please note:

We typically do not return phone calls for the following message types:
Types of repairs that we do not offer.
No phone number or type of repair they need.
General inquiries or questions pertaining to how to use a device.

Finally, due to federal privacy and recent law/policy changes regarding consumer accounts- (Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc.)
Any type that contains personable identifiable information- we are unable to act as a 3rd party in resolving such issues. Ultimately the issue must be resolved by the end consumer/user and the affiliated service.

Money and the tech industry

As the aptly named “Ramageddeon” chaos continues, the effect has spread to both SSD and Graphics Cards that uses the same technologies. Whereas for now we can still get some stock of the aforementioned, the overall price to technology ratio has risen the base cost of a custom build. We have found that in the least case scenario it’s about 40%. In the higher end builds it is as much as 180%! We are happy to quote you a custom build, but we will be up front about your budget constraints for total transparency about the costs of the parts.

There is still not a better value for your dollars, anywhere other than our services and custom tailored solutions! With the IT economy in the shambles that it is right now, we hope we can provide some respite at still very much affordable prices. We know that buying new devices for replacement is no longer a viable option, in most cases.

Labor rates: We here at AugyTek have not raised our rates or changed types/costs of labor for 10 years! (Feb. 2026 marked the 10 years) We have strongly believed in keeping our costs down for our consumers! Unfortunately, changes to a few things are unavoidable due to significant rising costs:

The solution:

First off, the cost for onsite service has risen to $200 per hour. This is due to a combination of high gas costs, as well as insurance and liability coverage increases. Secondly, we will still offer our basic, rush, and critical check in packages at the listed rates on our page.

However, for all jobs that do not fall under those categories: We will now be charging in real time labor at $40 / hour. Whereas this may seem like an extreme reduction in labor cost, it no longer includes the proration element. Sitting on our bench, whether an automated process or not, is now charged in real time.

For example: A drive takes 4 hours to scan and repair, this equates to $160 due upon checkout. This is on top of whatever other bulk services/maintenance we perform to it. Other services being covered by the check in service you had paid for at check in.

We do realize that this will make some services a bit more affordable, whereas other services will increase a little more. Examples might include joycon repair for controllers or handheld consoles which don’t really fall into any other category.

Finally, as mentioned we will be looking to liquidate most of our parts and retail inventory! We can sell these at a lower cost as the acquirement cost was less than what the value of it is today. The bulk lots will primarily be on eBay. There will be a static webpage for refurbished systems and things more oriented to the individual consumer locally, rather than bulk purchases.

Once we finish revamping our inside, it will all be available for local customers as well to peruse and purchase!
